Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client (RDC) Companion is free server side application works together with the the Xtralogic RDC running on a mobile device. It is needed to support Simple Connect and automatic software keyboard activation.

Simple Connect is connecting over Windows built-in RDP protocol. This means that the Remote Desktop has to be enabled on the computer and network firewall on the computer has to allow connections on the TCP port 3389 (default RDP protocol port). Normally the firewall exception for the RDP protocol is created automatically when Remote Desktop is enabled.
Download and install Download Xtralogic RDC Companion on the computer you are going to connect to. After you installed and launched it, right click on the RDC Companion icon in the notification area of the taskbar and select Settings in the context menu. Enter and save the Google account credentials you are going to use with Simple Connect. Right click on the RDC Companion icon again and select Connect in the context menu. If the connection was successful, an entry corresponding to the computer where you installed RDC Companion will appear in the Xtralogic RDC on your mobile device and you will be able to connect to it.
